Stone Chapel Kennel & Cattery

Stone Chapel Kennel & Cattery is a family-owned dog boarding, daycare, and grooming facility on North Sunshine Road in Fayetteville, AR, with a separate cattery on site for cats. Owner Jamie Wiese opened the doors in December 2019 after years of caring for her own animals and boarding horses for other families. Dogs of all sizes are accepted, from small to large.

What sets this kennel apart

Playgroups are matched by size, temperament, energy, and play style, and ten separate play yards give staff room to keep those groups apart. Every new daycare dog gets a temperament assessment on the first day, which tells the team what kind of play and socialization fits that dog. Boarding guests set their own pace. The kennel does not cap outdoor time for dogs who like being outside, and dogs who would rather stay in their suite can do that instead. Suites include cots, and all guests get frequent potty breaks through the day.

Practical details

Boarding runs $40 to $55 per night, with a 20% discount for each additional pet from the same family. Reservations are made online. Hours are 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Saturday and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, and boarding guests are asked to arrive no later than 5:00 PM so they have time to settle before night. Owners bring their dog's regular food; house-brand food is available for $5 a day. Medication is given for $2 a day, though not injections. Vaccinations are required: rabies, DHLPP, and bordetella for dogs, plus current flea and tick prevention. Stone Chapel does not accept unvaccinated pets, intact females six months or older, or pit bulls.
