How we verify listings

What the Verified Care Standard badge and the “Information last verified”date on every listing actually mean — where our information comes from, how it's checked, and how often it's re-checked. We're a directory, not an inspector: we don't visit facilities, and we never claim to.

Sourced from the kennel itself

Listing details — services, amenities, hours, pricing, policies — come from each business's own website, plus Google business data for ratings and location. We only state what those sources support: if a kennel doesn't publish its pricing, our listing doesn't guess it.

Reviewed before publishing

Every listing passes automated quality checks (is it genuinely a boarding or daycare facility, is the location real, is the information complete), and anything uncertain goes to a human review queue instead of being published.

Re-verified on a schedule

Published listings aren't left to rot. We re-check listings against their source website on a rolling schedule — refreshing hours, amenities, and pricing, and updating the “Information last verified” date you see on each listing page. Listings whose websites disappear get flagged for review rather than silently lingering.

Photos stay the owner's

Photos and logos are sourced from each business's own website and remain the property of their owners. Any owner can have them updated or removed by contacting us.
