Tefani & So Dogcare

Tefani & So Dogcare runs cage-free dog daycare and boarding in San Francisco, out of a 5,000 square foot facility at 189 13th Street. Dogs roam the space freely instead of waiting out the day in a run, and crates or kennels only come out if an owner asks for them. Grooming is offered as well.

What a day looks like

The day opens with an adventure to a fully fenced dog park, then the group heads back to the facility for indoor play and time in the outdoor space. A photo update goes out mid-day. Staff hold Pet CPR and First Aid certification through American Health Training, and they can give medication on an owner's schedule.

How boarding works

Overnight dogs stay in a home environment rather than at the 13th Street building. That setup suits dogs who settle better in a house than in a facility, and it keeps mealtime and medication routines close to what they know at home.

Practical details

Every new dog goes through a temperament test and a trial day before joining the regular group. Booking happens online. Vaccinations are required. Published rates run $90 to $150 per day depending on the service, and the shuttle covers owners who cannot make it across town at drop-off.
