Founded by Madison, an Arizona native who blends her New York dog-care experience with a laid-back Southwest sensibility, Desert Pups aims to feel like a true second home rather than a typical kennel stay. Dogs are grouped by size and temperament between the Saguaro Room for bigger, high-energy pups and the Prickly Pear Room for littles and older dogs, with dedicated indoor potty areas throughout the fully indoor facility.

Every new pup starts with a required trial day, and all dogs must be current on rabies, bordetella, and DAPP vaccines, plus spayed or neutered by one year old. Staff, known as Pawtrollers, complete Pet CPR and First Aid certification along with ongoing training in dog behavior, body language, and safe group play.

Boarding stays include daily daycare, feeding, and medication at no added cost, with optional add-ons like baths, Kongs, and doggy ice cream available for a small fee. Sibling discounts and prepaid daycare and boarding packages help regular pawrents save, and Desert Pups stays open 365 days a year for boarding.
