Creature Comforts

Creature Comforts is a pet boarding and daycare facility at 2295 Old Hwy 124 in Russellville, Arkansas, offering overnight dog boarding and daycare for dogs from the surrounding area. Noel and Betsy Snyder opened the kennel in 2015, bringing a combined 40 years of zookeeping experience with them. They live on-site, so dogs are rarely left alone for long.

What a boarding stay includes

Dogs stay in climate-controlled private rooms that start at 6' x 6' and open onto individual outdoor runs of 5' x 10', accessible all day. Rooms come furnished with beds, blankets, and toys, and families can send familiar bedding from home. Every boarder gets breakfast, dinner, and a mid-day snack. Owners supply their dog's usual food with portion instructions, though Iams is available for an extra $5 a day.

Practical details

Daycare runs $25 for a full day and $15 for a half day, with check-in and check-out any time between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Group play starts after a social evaluation, and dogs who would rather skip it get the yard to themselves.

The facility is open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, closed Saturday, and open noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. It also closes for pick-ups and drop-offs on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Booking starts with an online reservation request, and approval or denial comes back by email.

All pets must be current on vaccinations and flea and tick control, and pets over six months old must be spayed or neutered. Birds, reptiles, and small mammals are boarded as well. Cat boarding has been suspended since April 2021.
