Bell Creek Agility & Obedience, LLC

Founded in 2016 by Patti Engleman, Bell Creek Agility & Obedience is a Palmer, Alaska facility built around the belief that every dog and handler team can reach their full potential through positive, individualized coaching. The team of experienced instructors—many of whom actively compete in the sports they teach—works with dogs of all breeds and experience levels, from first-time puppies to seasoned competitors chasing national titles.

What They Offer

• Board & Train Program: dogs live with a trainer, following a structured daily routine of training, crate practice, and socialization, limited to 2–3 dogs per trainer for individualized attention
• In-Home Boarding: a calm, home-based alternative to kennels, with daily exercise and continued reinforcement of manners
• Classes: agility, foundation obedience, rally, and scent work taught on half-inch anti-fatigue matting that meets AKC standards
• Professional Grooming: newly added grooming services with natural, breed-appropriate styling
• Progress Updates: photo updates and notes sent through an app so owners stay connected during their dog's stay

A Home-Based Approach to Boarding

Rather than housing dogs in a traditional kennel, Bell Creek's Board & Train and boarding programs place dogs directly in a trainer's home, where they're integrated with the trainer's own dogs and exposed to real-world environments—from the training building to around town and even dog sports events. This approach is designed to build reliable, everyday obedience rather than isolated skills.

The instructor team brings decades of combined experience across agility, scent work, rally, and behavior consulting, including AKC judges and evaluators. Dogs must be current on core vaccinations, and the facility maintains a strict no-nut policy to protect staff with severe allergies.
